Silchar/Guwahati: In two separate operations, police in Assam seized heroin worth more than Rs.3 crore and arrested two persons.

Cachar Police intercepted a vehicle at Tolengram and recovered 300 grams of heroin concealed inside soap cases. The consignment, valued at around Rs.1.6 crore, was seized and one individual was taken into custody.

On the same day, Guwahati Police carried out a raid at Chachal’s Radha Nagar area and seized 355 grams of heroin. The drugs, worth nearly Rs.1.8 crore in the illicit market, were recovered from the possession of one person, who was arrested on the spot.
