Home Guards assessment schedule announced for Barak Valley districts

Silchar: The District Home Guards Office in Cachar has released the full schedule for the upcoming Home Guard Volunteers Assessment Board covering Cachar, Hailakandi, and Sribhumi. The evaluation will take place at the Home Guards District Training Centre in Dayapur, Udharbond, and will run from December 15 to December 20.

The timetable is clear. On December 15, roll numbers 001 to 300 from Cachar will be assessed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The next day will cover roll numbers 301 to 600. On December 17, Cachar roll numbers 601 to 700 and Sribhumi roll numbers 001 to 200 will appear before the Board.

December 18 is reserved for Sribhumi roll numbers 201 to 350 and Hailakandi roll numbers 001 to 150. The process continues on December 19 with Hailakandi roll numbers 151 to 450. The final day, December 20, has been set aside for the concluding round of assessment.

Volunteers have been instructed to carry all original documents, including Home Guard credentials, PAN, Aadhaar if available, character certificate, and any other required identification.

The office has made it clear that delays, incomplete documents, or misinformation will not be entertained. Accountability for timely reporting rests fully with the volunteers, and any attempt to manipulate or influence the process will invite strict action.

Officials have also clarified that no travel allowance, daily allowance, or accommodation will be provided. The announcement aims to ensure an orderly and transparent assessment process across all three districts.
