Agartala: The Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre, organised a Seminar programme on the topic “How to develop the existing Small Industrial scenario in Tripura” on 30th August, in the Seminar Hall of IEI, Tripura State Centre, Agartala, in connection with the Small Industry Day 2025.
Shyamal Kanti Deb, Former General Manager, Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Ltd., delivering the Keynote speech, discussed that developing the small industrial scenario in Tripura requires a comprehensive approach that involves collaboration among government, industry stakeholders, and educational institutions.
He further said that by addressing infrastructure, policy, skills, finance, and market access, Tripura can create a conducive environment for small industries to thrive and contribute to the state’s economic growth.
The programme was presided over by Er. Paramananda Sarkar Banerjee, Chairman of the Institution of Engineers (India), Tripura State Centre. Prof. (Dr.) Priyanath Das, Honorary Secretary of the Centre, delivered the welcome address.
The seminar was attended by young entrepreneurs, senior engineers, and engineering students. Seven young entrepreneurs were felicitated during the occasion.
