Lakhipur: The Jagannath Community and Skill Training Centre, constructed at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore, was inaugurated at Tarapur Tea Garden under Tarapur Narainpur Gram Panchayat on Thursday.

The centre was formally opened by Lakhipur MLA and State Minister Kaushik Rai in the presence of local residents, community members and party workers.

The event marked a significant step towards strengthening infrastructure in the tea garden area.

Speaking on the occasion, it was stated that the newly built centre will serve as a common platform for social gatherings and cultural activities.

The facility will also focus on skill development initiatives aimed at empowering youth and women of the tea garden community.

The project is expected to contribute to greater self reliance and improved livelihood opportunities in the area, while also encouraging community engagement and development.
