Karimganj’s Abu and Touhid Selected for Assam Team in KD Singh Babu Hockey Tournament

The Karimganj Hockey Association extended warm congratulations to both players for their achievement

Badarpur: Two promising players from the Karimganj Hockey Association have earned selection in the Assam team for the 36th All India KD Singh Babu Memorial Hockey Tournament, scheduled to be held in Lucknow. The selected players are Abu Mohammed Abdullah and Touhid Hasan Talukdar.

The duo left Badarpur on Sunday night to take part in the tournament and joined the rest of the Assam team members in Guwahati on Monday.

The Karimganj Hockey Association extended warm congratulations to both players for their achievement. After a practice session on Sunday, the association’s secretary Emad Uddin and Karimganj Hockey Academy director Salim Ahmed felicitated them with greeting gifts.

Raj Aditya Das, Anwar Hussain, Taz Uddin, Dr. Suel Ahmed Laskar, and others were present on the occasion. The prestigious all-India hockey tournament will commence on February 4.
