Nihar Ranjan Paul recalled Khudiram’s life, tracing the defining moments of his revolutionary path

Silchar: The Shaheed Khudiram Smriti Raksha Committee on Monday observed the 118th martyrdom day of revolutionary freedom fighter Khudiram Bose with reverence and solemnity.

The programme, held at 8:30 a.m. at the foot of his statue, began with floral tributes offered by committee secretary Nakul Ranjan Paul, Prof. Dr. Ajay Roy, Dipankar Chanda, Nihar Ranjan Paul, Bhabatosh Chakraborty, representative Khadeja Begum Laskar, Paritosh Bhattacharjee, Swagata Bhattacharjee, and others.

The event included stirring patriotic renditions by Dulali Ganguly and Biplab Ghosh.

In his address, Nihar Ranjan Paul recalled Khudiram’s life, tracing the defining moments of his revolutionary path. Prof. Ajay Roy also shared his reflections, with both speakers urging the gathering to draw inspiration from the martyr’s courage and selflessness in the context of contemporary social and political challenges.

To commemorate the day, badges featuring Khudiram Bose’s image were distributed among attendees, ensuring that the memory of one of India’s youngest martyrs continues to inspire generations.
