Four automatic weapons, ammunition and other war-like were also recovered

Two construction workers were kidnapped on 25 April 2025 (Friday) night from the general area of Pangchao in the Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
Based on specific information, troops of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles launched a joint operation in the general area of Pangchao on 27 April 2025. The contact was established, and in the ensuing firefight, three cadres of the NSCN (KYA) group were neutralised.
Four automatic weapons, ammunition and other war-like were also recovered.
One construction worker was rescued in the operation and the search for the second is in progress.
