Lakhipur: The 14th death anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika was observed with solemnity and reverence at the office premises of the Co-District Commissioner, Lakhipur Co-District, on Wednesday.

The programme was attended by Dhrubajyoti Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner of Lakhipur, Reena Singh, Chairperson of the Manipuri Development Council, and Mrinal Kanti Das, Chairman of the Lakhipur Municipal Board. Principals, teachers, eminent citizens, and other distinguished guests from the region also joined the observance to pay tribute to the legendary music maestro.

As part of the programme, state-level trained singers and students rendered Dr. Hazarika’s iconic song “Manush Manusher Jonyo”, echoing his timeless message of humanity, unity, and brotherhood.
