Minister Rai congratulated the players for their hard work and dedication

Silchar: Minister Kaushik Rai on Tuesday felicitated the Lakhipur Legislative Assembly team from Cachar district for reaching the state-level final of the Chief Minister’s Tea Adivasi Football Tournament 2025–26.
The tournament has been organised under the initiative of Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to encourage youth from tea garden communities to take part in sports and grow in the field of football.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Rai congratulated the players for their hard work and dedication. He said the team’s achievement has brought pride to Lakhipur and Cachar district. He also extended his best wishes to every player for their future and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The felicitation programme was attended by local supporters and well-wishers who applauded the team’s success and wished them luck for the final.
