Lakhipur: Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has been implementing several welfare schemes aimed at the overall development of tea garden workers and their families across the state.

As part of this initiative, the much-awaited land patta pro-patra for tea garden workers and their families was distributed on Monday. The official virtual distribution was conducted from Dinjoy Tea Estate in Dibrugarh district in the presence of ministers Keshab Mahanta and Rupesh Gowala.

In line with the state-level programme, a pro-patra distribution event was also organised at Dilkhush Tea Estate along with other tea gardens under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency. Minister Kaushik Rai attended the programme and said the initiative would play a crucial role in fulfilling the long-standing demand of tea worker families, while strengthening their social and economic security.
