Silchar: In a vibrant display of culture and community spirit, the Lengka Maruf Cultural and Sports Organization organised a grand prize distribution ceremony as part of the Fira Rath Yatra Mahamilan Utsav held at Paschim Silchar. Participants from various dance troupes and decorated chariots were felicitated for their enthusiastic involvement in the festivities.

Troupes that performed during the Yatra received awards for their vibrant and captivating presentations. In addition, three specially decorated chariots that stood out for their aesthetic appeal were honoured with special prizes by the members of Lengka Maruf. Awards were also given for discipline and orderly participation, encouraging a sense of community responsibility among the participants.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from Lengka Maruf highlighted the organisation’s continued commitment to service-oriented activities in Silchar. They further announced their intention to initiate several new plans for the next edition of the Fira Rath Yatra Mahamilan Utsav, promising an even grander celebration next year.

The event was graced by the presence of prominent local figures, including Celebration Committee President Brindaban Sinha, Ramedra Sinha, Surjeet Sinha, Biman Sinha, Bimal Sinha, Shyamal Sinha, Shimu Sinha, Sunita Sinha, Mrinalini Sinha, Kakoli Sinha and others, whose support added further significance to the celebration.

The ceremony concluded on a high note, with community members expressing appreciation for the organisation’s efforts in upholding and promoting cultural traditions in the region.
