Silchar: The Lions Club of Silchar Valley View made a spectacular mark at the Lions District 322G Award Ceremony (2024-25) held at a renowned hotel in Guwahati on Saturday. The club swept the event with an impressive tally of 20 prestigious awards, including 10 first prizes under the ‘One District One Activity’ category for activities conducted from September 2024 to June 2025.

Leading the club’s list of honors were three coveted titles Best President awarded to Lion Bandita Trivedi Roy, Best Secretary to Lion Dr. Anup Roy, and Best Club Award in its category, underscoring the team’s exceptional service and leadership during the Lionistic year.

In addition, the club’s creative excellence was earlier recognised during the Lions District Conference held in Guwahati on April 5 and 6, 2025, where it secured first position in Banner Presentation and Photo Exhibition. These awards were formally presented during Saturday’s ceremony.

Furthering its commitment to humanitarian service, the club also secured first position in three Hunger Projects and Blood Donation Service, strengthening its image as a proactive and socially responsible organisation.

The club’s Guiding Lions Sanjeev Roy and Rita Chakraborty, along with Club Extension Chairpersons Sabyasachi Rudragupta and Shankar Chakraborty, credited these achievements to the club’s unwavering spirit, unity, and a strong sense of commitment among its members. “These awards are a reflection of our collective effort to serve society and the nation with dedication,” they said.

Reiterating the Lions motto, the Club stated, “Where there is a need, there is a Lion” a principle that continues to guide their mission. Club Vice President Sayed Ahmed Barbhuiya extended heartfelt congratulations to then District Governor Seema Goenka for her dignified and inspiring leadership throughout the Lionistic year 2024-25.

With its remarkable achievements, the Lions Club of Silchar Valley View has once again established itself as a beacon of service and excellence within the Lions fraternity.
