Mazbat: In a major breakthrough against drug trafficking, Mazbat Police seized 309.78 kilograms of cannabis valued at approximately Rs.3 crore. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the case.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted an operation that led to the recovery of the contraband from a vehicle in Udalguri’s Mazbat area. The arrested persons are being interrogated to trace the source and the intended network of distribution.

Police sources said the operation is part of an ongoing crackdown on the illicit drug trade across the region. The seized cannabis has been sent for verification, and further investigation is underway to identify other individuals linked to the case.

Senior police officials have lauded the Mazbat Police team for their swift action and commitment in curbing narcotics trafficking in the district.
