Focusing on the current status and on-ground implementation of key Central schemes across Cachar

Silchar: The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Cachar district was held on Thursday, bringing together key elected representatives and senior officials to review the progress of Central Government schemes and development projects in the region.
Chaired by Silchar MP and DISHA chairman Parimal Suklabaidya, the meeting saw the active participation of Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, along with MLAs Mihir Kanti Shome, Nihar Ranjan Das, and Misbahul Islam Laskar.
Cachar Deputy Commissioner Mridul Kumar Yadav, CEO of Zila Parishad, and several other senior administrative officials, including heads of various government departments, were also present. Among the other dignitaries in attendance were Reena Singh, Chairman of the MDC, and former BJP district president Bimalendu Roy.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty termed the discussions as “detailed and constructive,” focusing on the current status and on-ground implementation of key Central schemes across Cachar. “Emphasis was laid on improving inter-departmental coordination, addressing existing gaps, and ensuring timely execution of welfare programmes for the benefit of the people of Cachar,” he said.
The meeting served as a crucial platform for collaborative planning and effective monitoring of development initiatives aimed at uplifting the socio-economic standards of the district.
