Silchar : Members of Barak er Awaj (Voice of Barak) met Silchar Municipal Commissioner Srishti Singh, IAS, to felicitate her and submit a memorandum on key civic issues garbage crisis, blocked drains, illegal vendors, unplanned parking, and fraudulent parking fee collection.

The Commissioner assured strict action against unauthorized fee collection and confirmed that only authorized personnel will handle such charges. She informed that meetings with street vendors have already been held to resolve encroachment issues. A dedicated helpline number for public grievances will soon be launched. She welcomed NGO collaboration and emphasized joint efforts between citizens and administration to build a better Silchar.
