Minister Kaushik Rai Inaugurates and Lays Foundation for Several Development Projects in Palorbond

Silchar: Assam minister Kaushik Rai on Tuesday took part in the inauguration and foundation laying ceremony of several development projects under the Palorbond Gram Panchayat in Cachar district.

Among the projects inaugurated was the Palorbond Jagannath Community and Training Centre built at a cost of Rs.1.50 crore. The minister also inaugurated the Model Anganwadi Centres at No. 17 Alipur Tea Garden and No. 61 Palorbond Tea Garden, each constructed with an outlay of Rs.25 lakh.

In addition, the Palorbond GP Office built at a cost of Rs.20 lakh was inaugurated. A newly constructed Palorbond Durga Mandap under the Asom Darshan scheme, built with Rs.15 lakh, was also opened for the public. The road leading to Alipur Baptist Church under the same scheme, constructed at a cost of Rs.15 lakh, was also inaugurated.

During the programme, the minister also laid the foundation stone for several new projects. These include the construction of a 4.150 km road from Palorbond to Dolugram under the Chief Minister’s Unnoto Paki Path Nirman Achoni, with an estimated cost of Rs.5.62 crore, and the construction of Uttar Sonpur Nachghar with an outlay of Rs.10 lakh.

Speaking on the occasion, Rai said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the benefits of development are reaching every corner of Assam. He added that the government remains committed to working continuously to maintain the trust of the people and ensure the overall development of the region.
