Borkhola: On Sunday, Minister Kaushik Rai participated in the auspicious foundation stone laying ceremonies for two significant development initiatives in Rosekandi area under the Rosekandi Gaon Panchayat in Borkhola Legislative Assembly constituency.
The first project involves the construction of a Nachghar (community hall) in Rosekandi, sanctioned at ₹35 lakh under the Barak Valley Development Department. This facility aims to serve as a cultural and community hub for local residents.

The second initiative is the construction of a new building for the recently upgraded 46 No. Rosekandi Primary School, which has been elevated to an Upper Primary School. The project, worth Rs.35.28 lakh, is being funded under the Prime Minister’s Tea Garden Workers’ Encouragement Scheme (Pradhan Mantri Cha Shramik Protsahan Yojana). This upgrade will enhance educational infrastructure and provide better facilities for students in the tea garden community.
