Silchar: In a significant political development ahead of the upcoming Zilla Parishad leadership elections, a high-level meeting was convened at the BJP Cachar District Office on Wednesday. The meeting was held in accordance with the directives of Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and the State BJP President Dilip Saikia.
The meeting focused on the process of electing the President and Vice-President of the Cachar Zila Parishad. To oversee and guide the procedure, BJP had entrusted senior party leaders including Minister Kaushik Rai, Minister Krishnendu Paul, State Vice-President Moon Swarnakar, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, all of whom attended the session and held detailed discussions.
