Suklabaidya spoke about ongoing development work undertaken by the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the State

Silchar: Silchar MP Parimal Suklabaidya on Thursday laid the foundation stones for five development projects across the Silchar Assembly constituency. All five are funded through a combined allocation of Rs 50 lakh from the MP Local Area Development Fund.
He began at Arun Kumar Chanda Law College, where he inaugurated the construction of an extended building sanctioned at Rs 10 lakh. From there, he moved to Tarapur Nathpara to lay the foundation stone for a boundary wall at Nath Hostel, also approved at Rs 10 lakh.

At Tarapur Sarbajanin Durga Mandap, he launched the construction of a cultural building with another Rs 10 lakh. Later, he inaugurated the community hall project at Meherpur Naga Colony, dedicated to Rani Gaidinliu, with a similar allocation.
The day ended at Silchar Ghungoor Ram Mandir Dharamshala, where he laid the foundation stone for a new building, funded with the remaining Rs 10 lakh.
During the visits, Suklabaidya spoke about ongoing development work undertaken by the BJP-led governments at the Centre and in the State. He directed officials to ensure proper quality checks and timely completion.
The programmes were attended by departmental officials and BJP leaders, including Hirak Choudhury, president of the Madhyashahar Mandal; Dulal Das, president of the New Silchar Mandal; Jhalak Chakraborty, vice-president of the Cachar district unit; Shashanka Chandra Paul, MP representative from Dholai; Krishna Jeevan Debnath, treasurer of the Assam State OBC Morcha; Gopal Kanti Roy, general secretary; Sumona Das, secretary; along with other local leaders and residents.
