Imphal : Manipur Technical University (MTU) successfully organized a One-Day Photography Workshop in collaboration with Nikon India at the Lions Service Centre, Sangaiprou, Imphal followed by a photo walk at ISKCON temple Complex.
The workshop was designed to prod students into undertaking extra-curricular activities that stimulate their comprehensive development. In addition to MTU students, the workshop also witnessed active participation from staff, faculty, and a few keen photographers from around the state.
MTU is one of the rare institutions in the area that provides a Liberal Learning Course (LLC), in which staff members impart their knowledge and interests like Photography, Music, Interior Design, Stress Management, and many more, giving students a chance to gain learning outside of regular academics.
Earlier planned to be organized in the MTU campus, the workshop was relocated to the Lions Service Centre because of the protest by Government Polytechnics, Imphal students, with whom the university now shares a campus.
The day ended with a festive Engineers’ Day celebration, where students and staff came together for a cake-cutting ceremony, providing a nostalgic ring to the occasion.
