Lakhipur: A newly constructed Model Anganwadi Centre was inaugurated at Baladhan GP under the Lakhipur Assembly constituency on Sunday. The centre, built at a cost of Rs 25 lakh, is expected to improve early childhood care and learning facilities in the area.

Minister Kaushik Rai attended the inauguration ceremony and took part in the formal opening of the 117 No. Model Anganwadi Centre. Speaking on the occasion, he said the new facility will help create a better learning space for children and strengthen the foundation of early education at the grassroots level.

He also noted that the government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma remains committed to improving the quality of education through steady development of infrastructure across the state. The initiative is seen as part of ongoing efforts to upgrade child care and pre school education facilities in rural areas.
