Peace Rally in Ramnagar to Mark Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi on Friday

Silchar: A peace rally will be taken out in Ramnagar, Silchar, on Friday, September 5, to observe Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi, the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. The event is being organised by the Silchar Islamia Madrasa Management Committee in association with the Ramnagar Youth Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat.

According to organisers, the programme will begin at 6:30 am with a flag hoisting at the madrasa premises. The Julus peace rally will set out at 6:40 am, proceed to Chirukandi Masjid for a discussion and prayer session, and return to the madrasa grounds for its conclusion.

They added that the use of loudspeakers and vehicles has been prohibited and the rally will be conducted entirely on foot. An appeal was issued to the Muslim community to join the march in large numbers.

The preparations were finalised in a meeting held Wednesday at Silchar Islamia Madrasa under the chairmanship of Alhaj Hazrat Maulana Sharif Uddin, and attended by senior clerics and community leaders of the area.
