Silchar: The permanent office of the BJP New Silchar Mandal was inaugurated on Wednesday in a festive atmosphere. The ceremony was graced by Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty and Cachar District BJP President Rupam Saha as chief guests.

Also present were New Silchar Mandal President Dulal Das, Vice Presidents Kajal Roy, Biplab Kumar Dey, Mithun Roy, Basudev Saha, and a large number of party workers and local supporters.

The day’s proceedings began around 11 a.m. with a prayer ceremony at the residence of senior Barak Valley BJP leader Amiya Banerjee. MLA Dipayan Chakraborty, along with several leaders of different levels of the party, took part in the rituals. Following the puja, a vibrant atmosphere of joy and patriotism filled the gathering.

Later, at the newly constructed office, Dipayan Chakraborty, Rupam Saha, Dulal Das, and other party members offered floral tributes to the portrait of Bharat Mata before cutting the ribbon to formally inaugurate the office.

In his address, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said, “This office marks an important step toward resolving local issues and accelerating welfare activities for the people of New Silchar.

The tireless efforts of our karyakartas show that the BJP stands not just for politics, but for the ideal of service.” He also announced that every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., the office will remain open for the public to share their grievances, and necessary steps will be taken to address them.

District President Rupam Saha said, “The state leadership’s initiative to set up permanent offices in every Mandal of Silchar has seen a successful beginning today with the inauguration of the New Silchar Mandal office.” He congratulated all members of the Mandal and urged them to strengthen the organization further.

Mandal President Dulal Das expressed gratitude to the people of New Silchar, saying, “Their trust, affection, and constant support have been the driving force behind establishing this office. We will continue working for social welfare and the development of our area.”

The inauguration turned into a celebration of patriotism, unity, and enthusiasm, with attendees expressing hope that the new permanent office will make the organization stronger and more people-oriented in the days to come.
