New Delhi: Member of Parliament Pradyut Bordoloi joined the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday after resigning from the Indian National Congress.

The official joining took place in New Delhi in the presence of Himanta Biswa Sarma, Dilip Saikia and Union Minister Pabitra Margherita.

Bordoloi, who had recently stepped down from the Congress, formally embraced the BJP leadership during the event. Party leaders welcomed him and expressed confidence that his experience would strengthen the organisation in Assam.
