Lakhipur: Preparations have begun in full swing for the public rally scheduled to be addressed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on March 14 at the Budrail Bypass in Silchar.
A review meeting was held today at the Silchar District Commissioner’s Office to ensure the event is conducted smoothly and in an orderly manner. The meeting was attended by Assam Ministers Kaushik Rai and Pijush Hazarika, along with officials from the concerned departments. Administrative activities have already gathered pace in view of the Prime Minister’s visit.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on the construction of the stage, security arrangements, vehicle parking, supply of drinking water, and other essential facilities for the public. Necessary instructions were issued to the officials to ensure the entire programme is conducted peacefully and without disruption.
The administration stated that a large turnout is expected at the rally. Special arrangements will therefore be made to maintain security and discipline throughout the event.
