Silchar: The Annual Dr. S K Dey Memorial Lecture for 2026 will be held on March 6 at 2.30 p.m. in the Library-cum-Seminar Hall of the Department of English, Assam University, Silchar.

This year’s lecture will be delivered by Prof. Irom Gambhir Singh of Manipur University. He will speak on the topic, “Publication Ethics in Higher Education in India: New Dimensions.”

The lecture is expected to focus on emerging challenges and evolving standards in academic publishing, particularly in the context of higher education institutions across the country. Issues related to research integrity, plagiarism, peer review practices and ethical responsibilities of scholars are likely to be discussed.

The Dr. S K Dey Memorial Lecture is an annual academic event that brings distinguished scholars to share their insights on subjects of contemporary relevance. Faculty members, research scholars and students are expected to attend the programme.
