IMPHAL : During the Sanatan Sammelan in Manipur, Youth of True India Foundation’s Founder and CEO, Pratap Chauhan, articulated a visionary approach to youth development. Focused on strengthening children both physically and mentally, Pratap emphasized the evolving concept of security—from mere military strength to the health and well-being of individuals as a cornerstone of national security.
“Times have changed,” he said. “From tribal chiefdoms to Mahajanpadas, empires, and now nation states, the focus of security today extends beyond borders to encompass holistic individual well-being.”
He expressed concern regarding the current situation in Manipur and underscored the importance of skilling youth, early talent identification for the 2036 Olympics, and engaging families in fitness activities to promote mental health. “It is our collective duty to build a healthy, united, and resilient society,” Pratap emphasized.

Reflecting on Manipur’s rich history of martial arts and traditional strength, Pratap invoked the legacy of Akharas initiated by Adi Shankaracharya —centers designed to build physical resilience among youth. “Today, we must evolve these traditional activities, aligning them with modern sports demands to prepare our children for global platforms,” he said.
He also highlighted the importance of early talent identification through innovative initiatives like Aainball, which fosters physical, mental, and social skills among children. “Aainball is a simple, contactless, inclusive sport that requires minimal resources and space, yet offers profound developmental benefits,” he explained. Its vibrant, multi-colored balls and engaging gameplay make it an ideal activity for families and children, promoting health, unity, and peace.
Pratap reassured the Manipuri community: “We stand with you. Our goal is to provide robust platforms for your youth to showcase their talents on the world stage.”
The delegation visited the INA War Museum, where Pratap reflected on Netaji Subhash Bose’s enduring inspiration for the people of Manipur. He emphasized uniting different tribes through sports to foster peace and cultural harmony, particularly in Moirang Kangla.

Addressing the plight of displaced families, former DG, NDRF, Dr. P.M. Nair, IPS (Retd) expressed commitment: “We are dedicated to supporting affected families in every possible way.” He praised Aainball as an effective tool for uniting tribes, fostering peace, and nurturing a vibrant sporting culture in the valley.
In his conclusion, Pratap emphasized that “sports are a fundamental human right” and that physical inactivity leads to mental health issues, especially among children and families. He called for a collective effort to promote holistic health through activities like Aainball, aligning with national development goals.
Discussions also included collaborations with the Manipur Olympic Association and other regional institutions on how sports can be a catalyst for peace and prosperity. Pratap highlighted that countries excelling at the Olympics demonstrate the critical role of fitness and sports in economic and social development.
To advance this mission at the grassroots, Pratap announced that under the leadership of Biswadeep Gupta, both the YOTI Foundation and KRC Foundation will establish the Northeast Aainball Association. This initiative aims to harness Manipuri talent and make the 2036 Olympics a reality for India, with strategic partnerships involving the Sports Authority of India, the Education Department, and local organizations to execute programs effectively.
Together, we can build a peaceful, strong, and prosperous nation—nurturing our children through the heritage of traditional strength and the power of modern sports.
