SILCHAR : After bottles were thrown at CM Himanta Biswa Sarma’s convoy in Golaghat, the All Cachar Karimganj Hailakandi Students’ Association (ACKHSA) strongly condemned the act.

At a press conference in Silchar on Wednesday, ACKHSA chief advisor Rupam Nandi Purkayastha held Assam Congress President Gaurav Gogoi responsible for the incident, calling him a failed leader. He demanded Gogoi publicly apologize, warning that he would otherwise be barred from entering Barak Valley.

The protest followed a demonstration by Golaghat Congress members during the CM’s visit, where black flags were waved and bottles thrown. Six Congress workers have been arrested in connection with the incident.
