Silchar: As in previous years, the holy festival of Raas Purnima was observed with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Silchar branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, located in the Chandmari area of Silchar. The ashram premises resonated throughout the day with various rituals and collective prayers performed in accordance with Sanatan religious traditions.

The day began with a Vedic peace yajna, where devotees prayed for universal peace and the welfare of humanity. This was followed by Mangala Arati, recitation of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, Sri Sri Chandi Path, Sri Guru Vandana, and Bhog Arati. After the completion of all rituals, the ashram authorities distributed Mahaprasad among all devotees present.

Speaking on the occasion, Swami Gunsindhu Maharaj, head of the Silchar branch, said that the tradition of celebrating Raas Purnima was initiated by Jagatguru Swami Pranabanandaji Maharaj.

Following his ideals and teachings, Bharat Sevashram Sangha observes Raas Purnima across all its branches worldwide for the cause of human welfare and global peace.

Social worker Rupam Nandi Purkayastha, in his address, highlighted that Bharat Sevashram Sangha has long been dedicated to the service of humanity while also preserving and promoting the heritage of Sanatan Dharma.

He wished well for all followers of Sanatan Dharma and urged everyone to spread the message of unity, harmony, and compassion in society.

Throughout the day, a steady stream of devotees visited the ashram. With the participation of devotees and social workers, the Raas Purnima celebration at Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Silchar, became a truly spiritual and auspicious occasion.
