Silchar: Minister Kaushik Rai on Tuesday conducted a review meeting at the construction site of the Barak Valley Secretariat with officials of the Public Works (Building) Department and concerned contractors.
During the meeting, he assessed the progress of the ongoing work and instructed both the department and contractors to ensure that construction is completed at the earliest.
Sources said the project is nearing its final phase and preparations are underway for its formal inauguration.
It may be noted that Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is expected to inaugurate the Barak Valley Secretariat soon and dedicate it to the people of the region.
