Silchar : Saraswati Vidya Niketan, Dakshin Silchar, marked its 23rd Foundation Day with a grand celebration at Banga Bhawan on Thursday. The event reflected the school’s commitment to academic excellence and cultural growth, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and parents alike.
The ceremony was graced by Mridul Kumar Yadav, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, and Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty as chief guests. Eminent educationists from the National Institute of Technology (Silchar) and Assam University were also present, adding academic depth to the occasion.

Students presented a series of captivating performances showcasing their artistic skills, discipline, and dedication to the school’s values. From cultural dances to thought-provoking skits, each act reflected the spirit of learning and teamwork nurtured at the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, the guests commended the school for its consistent contribution to quality education and holistic development in the region. Dr. Debotosh Chakraborty, head, Department of Political Science, Assam University, was also present.
