Silchar : Shankarjyoti Gitashram, located at Sildubi on Kalibari Road, will celebrate the auspicious occasion of Sri Guru Purnima today with a series of traditional Sanatan Dharma rituals and spiritual offerings.

The observance will commence in the Brahma Muhurta with Mangalarati, setting a reverent tone for the day. This will be followed by Sri Sri Guru Puja at 9 AM and a collective prayer at 11 AM. Mahaprasad will be distributed at 1 PM among the attending devotees. Throughout the day, the ashram will also host recitations of sacred teachings and other devotional activities.

Chief functionary of the Gitashram, Shrimad Swami Mahananda Giri Maharaj, has called upon the spiritually inclined residents of the region to join the festivities and partake in the sacred observances of Guru Purnima.
