Silchar: The much-awaited statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose has finally reached Silchar, marking a historic moment for the town. After its arrival, work on installing the pedestal continued overnight from 11 p.m. on Friday till 4 a.m. on Saturday, with volunteers and organizers working tirelessly to ensure timely progress.
The work was supervised by Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty. The grand unveiling of the statue is scheduled for August 31, when the Chief Minister of Assam, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, will officially inaugurate the newly erected monument.
The MLA has urged citizens to join in large numbers on the occasion to pay their tributes to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, whose legacy continues to inspire generations across the nation.
