Silchar: The city of Silchar is set to echo with the timeless melodies of Kishore Kumar as the Kishore Kumar Fans Club, Silchar, prepares to celebrate the legendary singer’s birth anniversary today with a day-long programme featuring tributes and musical performances.

The celebrations will begin at 8 am with a floral tribute at Kishore Kumar’s statue on Circuit House Road. The morning session will include garlanding, group singing, and a brief discussion reflecting on the life and musical legacy of the iconic singer.

The evening segment, scheduled to commence at 6 pm at the Gurucharan University Auditorium, will feature a musical tribute programme. Various artists are expected to perform Kishore Kumar’s classic hits in a celebration of his enduring impact on Indian music and cinema. The event is being held in collaboration with the Cultural Club of Gurucharan University.

In a joint statement, president Taimur Raja Choudhury and secretary Sujit Kumar Das of the Kishore Kumar Fans Club extended an open invitation to all music enthusiasts to join the celebration and make the occasion memorable.
