Silchar: In a compassionate outreach aimed at supporting ailing individuals and families, Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty distributed cheques amounting to a total of Rs 2 lakh. The financial aid was extended to 13 beneficiaries who had applied for assistance under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for medical treatment.

The disbursement took place in the presence of local officials and well-wishers, with each recipient receiving a cheque to help ease the financial burden of their ongoing or upcoming medical expenses.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty expressed heartfelt gratitude to Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma for his continuous commitment to the welfare of the people. “I sincerely thank the Chief Minister for this generous support. May this assistance bring some relief and strength to the families during their time of need,” Chakraborty said.

He also offered prayers for the speedy recovery and well-being of all the recipients, reaffirming his dedication to standing by citizens in their times of distress.
