Silchar : Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty on Sunday held an interactive session with elected group members and booth presidents of the Badarpur-Masimpur Gaon Panchayat to review and discuss the implementation of key government welfare schemes.

The meeting focused on flagship initiatives such as the Orunodoi scheme and the Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Assam Yojana, with the MLA highlighting their significance in uplifting economically weaker sections and promoting self-reliance among the youth and women.

He underlined the crucial role women’s entrepreneurship plays in boosting local economies and reiterated the government’s commitment to empowering women through targeted initiatives.

Chakraborty also addressed issues related to the organisational structure at the grassroots level and stressed the need for better coordination to ensure effective delivery of government benefits.
