Silchar MP Lays Foundation Stones for Three Community Projects

Silchar: Silchar MP Parimal Suklabaidya on Friday visited Naraincherra Tea Estate under Borkhola GP and laid the foundation stone for a new community hall near the Gonesh Mandir. The project, sanctioned under the MPLAD Scheme for 2024–25, is meant to serve as a dedicated space for social, cultural and community events.

He also laid the foundation stone for a cultural hall at Borkhola Part-2 under Chesri GP. The project, funded through the MPLAD scheme, carries an estimated cost of 5 lakh rupees and is expected to support local cultural activities.

Later in the day, the MP laid the foundation stone for another community hall at Narsing Akhra in Rongpur, Silchar. Estimated at 10 lakh rupees, the facility is planned as a shared space for community gatherings and devotional programmes.

Suklabaidya said the projects reflect a continued effort to strengthen local infrastructure and support cultural life across the constituency.
