Silchar: The Silchar Netaji Murti Nabanirman O Sthapana Committee has extended financial support to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund by donating Rs. 1,50,000. The cheque was handed over to Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday.
The initiative was taken as part of the committee’s commitment to contribute towards public welfare causes. Committee convener and Silchar MLA Dipayan Chakraborty personally led the team during the handover. Assam Minister Kaushik Rai was also present on the occasion, underscoring the significance of the gesture.
Treasurer Rudra Narayan Gupta, along with members Debojyoti Swami and Shantanu Roy, represented the committee during the meeting with the Chief Minister.
The contribution was acknowledged by Dr. Sarma, who expressed appreciation for the committee’s effort in supporting the relief fund, which plays a vital role in extending assistance during emergencies and calamities across the state.
