The new jerseys were sponsored by Khan Jewellers, a well-known Silchar-based jewellery house owned by Ajay Khan and his son Siddhartha Khan. General Secretary Siddhartha Khan highlighted the club’s rich history, noting that Silchar Sporting is the second-oldest sports organization in the Barak Valley. “As we step into our 90th year, it’s deeply gratifying to have Khan Jewellers associated with our journey,” he remarked.
He added that Silchar Sporting has reached the Super Four stage of the Prafulla Chandra Banik Memorial Trophy and the Prize Money Super Division Football League. “The team has remained unbeaten so far. With continued support and goodwill, we are confident of bringing home the championship,” he said.
