Silchar: The historic Smashan Kali Puja in Silchar once again transformed the town into a vibrant tapestry of lights, faith, and festivity. As in previous years, the Smashan Kali Temple and its surroundings were adorned with elaborate decorations, creating an atmosphere brimming with spirituality and celebration.
The temple courtyard glowed with colorful lights, drawing devotees from across the region. From the early hours of the morning, worshippers gathered to offer prayers to Goddess Kali. As evening fell, the area came alive with the shimmering glow of lamps and decorative illuminations, adding a magical charm to the celebrations.

A modern twist blended seamlessly with tradition as young visitors captured the festival’s brilliance on their phones, sharing selfies, photos, and videos that celebrated both joy and devotion. The temple grounds became a lively hub, reflecting unity, faith, and cultural pride.
Volunteers from the puja committee, in coordination with district police, ensured smooth management of the event. Measures such as proper lighting, drinking water stalls, and first-aid facilities were put in place, earning appreciation from devotees and visitors alike.
