Katigorah: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday inaugurated the Star Cement Plant at Burunga under Katigorah LAC in Cachar district. The new plant is expected to bring fresh industrial growth to the Barak Valley. It is also likely to open up new job opportunities for local people in the coming days.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that such projects will help speed up development in the region and strengthen the local economy. Minister Kaushik Rai, other ministers, MLAs, distinguished guests and a large number of local residents were present at the inauguration ceremony.
