New Delhi: Tripura has made its mark at the national level with a double win in tribal development. At the National Conclave on Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan held at Vigyan Bhawan, President of India Droupadi Murmu presented the Best Performing State Awards to Dr. K. Sasikumar, Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Tripura.

Tripura received top honours in both the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) and the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJA), recognizing the state’s outstanding efforts in promoting inclusive tribal welfare and participatory governance.
Adding to the state’s pride, North Tripura District was named the Best Performing District under PM-JANMAN. The award was received by Chandni Chandran, District Magistrate and Collector, North Tripura.
The recognition highlights Tripura’s growing leadership in implementing tribal welfare initiatives effectively and its commitment to empowering tribal communities through innovation, accountability, and community participation.
