A soulful Pena recital by Laiphrakpam Andrew and Laishram Niketan evoked the deep spiritual traditions of the land

Imphal: Uripok Hindu Sammelan Samiti organized a spiritually uplifting Hindu Sammelan at Uripok Achom Leikai, Imphal West, on 15th February, drawing participation from distinguished scholars, social leaders, and members of the public.
The Sammelan was presided over by Prof. Naorem Joykumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of Khongnangthaba University and Retired Head of the Department of History, Manipur University. His presence lent academic depth and philosophical insight to the gathering.
The Praesidium comprised of Khwairakpam Raghumani Singh, MLA, Uripok Assembly Constituency, Taorem Dineshwor Singh, Manipur Prant Sah Karyavah, Dr. Binota Meinam, Former Chairperson, Manipur State Commission for Women, Ramanuja Das, Vice President, ISKON Manipur.

In his Welcome and Keynote Address, Phurailatpam Nilachandra Sharma, Convenor of the Samiti, passionately emphasised the pressing need for unity, collective responsibility, and moral awakening among society to usher in positive and transformative change. He called upon the public to strengthen cultural roots while embracing constructive progress.

This was followed by an enchanting Nat Sankirtan on Basanta Ritu performed by the members of Guru Ibempishak Devi Cultural Academy, which filled the atmosphere with devotional vibrancy and cultural pride.
Thought-provoking deliberations marked the intellectual session. Dr. Binota Meinam spoke on Panch Parivartan, highlighting pathways for social transformation rooted in values and discipline.Ramanuja Das delivered an insightful discourse on Hindu thought, the Bhagwat Gita, and its relevance to Gen Z, bridging timeless wisdom with contemporary challenges.

Taorem Dineshwor Singh eloquently traced the inspiring hundred-year journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), underscoring its contributions to national service and character building.
In his Presidential Address, Prof. Naorem Joykumar Singh expounded on the philosophical foundations of Hindu thought, articulating its universal outlook, inclusivity, and enduring relevance in shaping ethical and harmonious societies.
Lourembam Promila Devi, who delivered the vote thanks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries, performers, organisers, and attendees for making the Sammelan a meaningful and memorable event.
The programme was gracefully and seamlessly anchored by Maimom Prakash Singh, Prant Sah Sampark Pramukh, who conducted the proceedings with remarkable poise, like a unifying thread binding together the flowers of a garland.
The Sammelan concluded with a renewed collective resolve to uphold unity, preserve cultural heritage, and work tirelessly towards social harmony and national upliftment.
