All of us who were in government before or are in government now must bear responsibility for the sobering thoughts of Nobel Laureate Venkataraman Ramakrishnan He said:
“1. I do not see India as a general magnet for international science”
“2. “Neither the funding, the infrastructure, nor the general environment in India is attractive for top-level international scientists to leave the U.S. to work in India” “3. In am always amazed by how they (scientists) manage to do such good work in such difficult conditions, and yet be so cheerful” “4. Young Indians (scientists) are so bright and enthusiastic, but they are being let down by the country as a whole”
