Rainwater entered homes, adding to the misery of residents

Silchar: Even light rainfall has caused several areas of Silchar, including National Highway Point, to be flooded due to artificial waterlogging, causing significant inconvenience to local residents.

After light rain on Saturday night, water accumulated by Sunday morning in busy areas like National Highway Point, College Road, Vivekananda Road, and surrounding regions. Due to the lack of proper drainage systems, rainwater has spilled onto the streets.

As a result, both pedestrians and drivers are forced to navigate through the water, risking their safety.Local residents complain that if the administration does not take prompt and effective measures, major accidents could occur at any time while people traverse the accumulated water.
