NEW DELHI : The High-Level Task Force (HLTF) on NER infrastructure, co-chaired by Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, has decided to create a comprehensive regional master plan to accelerate development.

Key priorities include climate-resilient roads, multimodal logistics hubs, cross-border trade facilities, and enhanced digital and power connectivity.

State-specific concerns were raised Mizoram on high logistics costs, Sikkim on NH-10 landslides, and Arunachal Pradesh on remote connectivity. The plan will be integrated into the PM GatiShakti portal for coordinated execution.
