Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister Y. Khemchand Singh has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former MLA Vungzagin Valte.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister said Valte was a respected leader and served as a three time Member of the Legislative Assembly from Thanlon constituency. He noted that Valte worked with strong dedication for the welfare of society and the people of Manipur.

Valte had been under long medical treatment in New Delhi and Churachandpur. As his health worsened, he was airlifted to New Delhi for advanced care with support from the Manipur Government. The Chief Minister said he personally monitored Valte’s health and ensured necessary medical arrangements during this period.
Calling his death a great loss, Singh said Valte will be remembered for his public service and commitment to the people.
On behalf of the Government and the people of Manipur, the Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
