N. Biren Singh, Former Chief Minister of Manipur, who recently stepped down to usher in peace in the state, has welcomed the first joint press conference of the Meitei Alliance and Thadou Inpi held in New Delhi on Friday.

In a social media post, Singh stated, I sincerely appreciate and support the points you have put forward, Madam. This vision of Manipur has always been close to my heart, one of unity, inclusivity, and shared heritage. Turning this vision into reality, we established the Sangai Ethnic Park, where huts representing all 34 indigenous communities stand together as a powerful symbol of unity. In the same spirit, we have built several museums to preserve and honor the rich heritage of Manipur’s diverse communities. Furthermore, I wholeheartedly welcome the first joint press conference of the Meitei Alliance and Thadou Inpi held in New Delhi yesterday. This is a highly encouraging step toward fostering peace and solidarity amongst our indigenous communities. Such efforts are essential in strengthening the bonds that hold Manipur together.
