NEW DELHI : The Supreme Court criticized the Centre for failing to submit a forensic report on an alleged audio clip of former Manipur CM N. Biren Singh confessing to his role in ethnic violence. The case was filed by KOHUR, citing over 250 deaths and 50,000 displaced.

Despite initial findings from Truth Labs showing a 93% voice match, the government insisted on verification from CFSL, which remains pending. The next hearing is on August 19.
