Dimapur : A two-week free training and competition program for air rifles and air pistol events that started from August 22 at the Temjen Toy Indoor shooting Range, NSSA, Multi-Disciplinary Sports Complex, in Dimapur, saw a good response, ranging from 10 years to 45 years of age, registering for this training. Around 109 participants are getting trained in two shifts. 

Nagaland Shooting Sports Association organises the free training in collaboration with the Department of Youth Resources and Sports. Govt. of Nagaland. The training on shooting sports is in full swing, started for athletes of 10m air rifle and air pistol on the safety, weapon handling, techniques, tactics, physical parameters, and mental conditioning.

The Hon.Secretary of Nagaland Shooting Sports Association said that in Nagaland, participant has a suitable body structure for rifle shooting. He echoed, We are hunting the talents. Through this competition, the champions will be provided sponsorship for six months to mentor and prepare them for the upcoming competition in line with the National Rifle Association of India.
